Her Graffiti collection, comprised a range of scribbles, X\u2019s, O\u2019s and street art that covered Manhattan subway cars in 18ct gold and palladium.<\/p>\n<p>The daughter of artists Pablo Picasso and Fran\u00e7oise Gilot, Paloma was destined for creative success. She was determined to succeed on her own, however, and didn\u2019t rely on her parent&#8217;s renown. Picasso graduated from the Universit\u00e9 de Paris in Nanterre, where she studied jewellery design and costume design. Her friend Yves Saint-Laurent then commissioned her to make costume jewellery for his runway collections.<\/p>\n<p>Her success with Saint-Laurent led to an important connection between Picasso and Tiffany &#038; Co.<\/p>\n<p>Paloma had joined the illustrious ranks of Elsa Peretti and Angela Cummings \u2014 both revered jewellery designers who also had signed contracts with Tiffany just before her. <\/p>\n<p>Her work is held in the collections of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Field Museum in Chicago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A smart looking large pair of Kiss earrings set with diamonds created by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany &#038; Co.
