The links are alternate faceted curb links and anchor links. The reason that links were often faceted at that time is that they catch the light especially in candle lit settings. The fat padlock has been claw set with an oval cabochon garnet within applied gold detail. It has a glazed locket to the reverse with crisp chevron engraving.
