The shank is palladium which is much harder and more durable than gold, and lends more protection against impact and a greater resistance to denting. It has been claw set with a beautiful square cushion cut cornflower blue sapphire. On either side is a claw set early brilliant cut diamond that weighs approximately 0.40 carats.
