Blue zircons have a particular colour quite unlike aquamarines and were fashionable during the <span class=\"glossary-tooltip glossary-term-376521\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"glossary-link\"><span class=\"glossary-underline\">Art Deco<\/span><\/span><\/span> period onwards. They are one of the oldest stones and have been used in jewellery for 2000 years. They occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. It sits low on the finger so it would be ideal to wear as a dress or engagement ring.
