Its intense, inner fire is mesmerising, and it is a trait no more apparent than in the celebrated stones from the Mogok Valley in Burma (modern day Myanmar).<br \/>\nThis pretty little 18ct gold Edwardian ring proves that the Burmese ruby does not need to be enormous in size to be impressive in colour. Measuring under a carat in size, it has been obliquely set between a trefoil of small diamonds, but it still dominates the ring.
