A really wonderful platinum and 15ct gold necklace set with good well matched graded white diamonds, the largest of which is a carat. The total weight is approximately 5.20 carats. It was made in the Edwardian period, circa 1900-1914 and is typical of the style from that era with flower and leaf motifs. Platinum is a very strong metal so it can be used sparingly unlike earlier silver pieces which look heavier than this necklace. The result is a lace like quality. There is added millgrain detail to the edges of the platinum. Millgrain was achieved with the use of a knurling tool and looks like little grains, hence the term, on the platinum. This necklace would be wonderful worn on the wedding day and subsequent occasions as it is so special.<\/p>\n\n
