The factory was a major player in the production of well designed good quality jewellery in the Art Deco period. Fahrner was one of the foremost designers in Pforzheim in the Black Forrest in Southern Germany. It has been set with a synthetic spinel that glitters like a dark sun with rays of graded marcasite (iron pyrites) around it. The silver has swirls of rope work and little studs which is so typical of Fahrner jewellery.
