Andersen opened his shop in Oslo, Norway in 1876 specialising in jewellery and silver wares. He died in 1901 and his sons took over company operations and designs. Today, David-Andersen (the company\u2019s name since the early 20th century) is well known for its mid-century enamelled silver jewellery. This brooch is a good example of the firm\u2019s work and was made circa 1940.
