It gathered popularity in the 18th century onwards. This ring dates from around 1760-1780 and is composed of an openwork foliate cluster set with three flat cut pale rubies, three small diamonds and a peridotA variety of chrysolite. It is the gem of variety of olivine. The colour is generally a warm olive or yellowish green.
