Victorian Silver & Gold Overlay Double Horseshoe Brooch

486R
720 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual and very lucky silver brooch with two horseshoes and a whip. Rose gold overlay has been applied to the roses and their leaves and on the tips of the horseshoes. It was made in Birmingham in 1890. At the time there was a fashion for this time consuming and beautiful work. A lovely brooch to wear whether you are a horse lover or just need a bit of Victorian luck!
