Victorian Indian Aristocrat Bloodstone Signet Ring

An interesting 18ct gold signet ring, set with a bloodstone with the engraving, “Cursetjee, Manack J” who was an Indian Aristocrat from Bombay (Mumbai). He was elected to the Royal Geographical Society in 1843, the first native of India to become a Fellow. The centre of the bloodstone has a hand holding a quill.
