Victorian Dog’s Head Brooch set with Diamonds with Enamel Tongue & Glass Eyes

426U
200 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A rare 19th Century brooch of a dog’s head that was made circa 1880 in France. It has been set entirely with graduated rose diamonds and he has glass eyes and an enamel tongue. Whether this was a special commission or there were others made I cannot specify as I have never seen another!

Ollys Pick

A rare brooch and beautifully made with great attention to detail.
