Victorian Coily Snake Brooch / Pendant set with Diamonds

997N
575 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very unusual and finely made snake pendant that can also be worn as a brooch. It was made circa 1860. It has been set with graded old mine cut diamonds. The snake means “Eternal love” and this is reinforced by the lover’s knot shape in the body. There is a small ruby in the snake’s eye. This jewel was given as a token of love and is so charming because of it’s hidden meanings.
