Find Out MoreA striking Victorian 18ct gold ring that was made in London in 1879. It has been set with three old mine cut diamonds that have a total estimated weight of just under a carat. The centre diamond has a definite brownish tinge and the well matched diamonds on either side are a little whiter. Diamonds were being imported from the Golgonda mines in India in the late 1800s. Jewellers would purchase parcels of stones and would often work with stones of a lower colour to achieve the chunky look that was so popular. This style of ring is traditionally known as a gypsy ring because of the star shaped settings around the diamonds. A lucky symbol that together with the diamonds speaks of “Eternal love”. A lovely ring to mark any special occasion. The stones are set low in the ring making it perfect for every day wear. It would also look great stacked alongside other similar rings
