Victorian 18ct Gold & Rock Crystal Ring

741P
944 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful and quite heavy gage 18ct gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1892. It has been set with a rock crystal within a claw setting that has been faceted to imitate a diamond. The name Rock crystal or ice crystal, from the Greek word “krystallos”, means “ice”, because the crystal was thought to be frozen water, so hard that it could never thaw. It is smart and looks great when worn. This ring can be resized, though please note there may be an additional charge to increase by more than three sizes.
