Victorian 18ct Gold Double Snake Ring set with Rubies & Diamonds

380S
480 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

This ring is a heavy gage and was made in Birmingham in 1886. It is composed of two beautifully modelled entwined snakes. One has been set with a ruby and has small diamond set eyes. The other has been set with a diamond with small ruby eyes. The snake motif in antique jewellery represented “Eternal love and wisdom”, so pieces such as this ring would have been a gift from an admirer. It is in great condition and is really comfortable to wear.
