Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautifully executed 18ct gold tie pin that was made circa 1880-1900.  Above is a Ducal Coronet with green and pink enamel to imitate gemstones and strawberry leaves above. Below is a monogram WA for Arthur Wellesley the 4th Duke of Wellington set with graduated turquoise and natural split pearls.  Arthur Charles Wellesley, 4th Duke of Wellington, KG, GCVO, DL, styled Lord Arthur Wellesley from 1884 to 1900, was a British peer and politician, and a member of the well-known Wellesley family. He joined the military and served in the Household Division.  A very smart look when worn. All our tie pins come with a stopper at the end of the pin.
