Victorian 18ct Gold Coily Snake Ring set with Diamonds

232W
120 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A well modelled 18ct gold coiled snake ring that was made circa 1860. It has been set with an old mine cut diamond and graduated rose diamonds in his head and two small rose diamonds in his eyes. His body and head have been finely engraved. The snake was often used in antique jewellery and symbolises eternal love, so it is a lovely sentiment to wear on one’s finger either as an engagement ring or a dress ring.
