Victorian 15ct Gold Ring set with a Garnet, Two Heart Shaped Garnets & Diamonds

293U
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is such a sweet 15ct gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1872. It has been set with three almandine garnets that are a lovely reddish mauve colour. In between are four small diamonds.  The garnets at each end have been cut in heart shapes so this ring would clearly have been intended as an engagement ring.  It sits low on the finger and curves around it beautifully.  The shank has been engraved with ornate scrolls that continue on either side of the top of the ring. A special ring for a special person in your life perhaps

Ollys Pick

I love the heart shaped garnets in this unusual ring.
