Victorian 15ct Gold Acorn Earrings

344 U
80 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A stunning pair of 15ct gold acorn earrings that were made circa 1860-1880. They have been so beautifully modelled and are light to wear as they are hollow. They have applied gold wire for the top of the acorns and the leaves have been finely chased. The acorn is a symbol of fertility and immortality, probably because they are the seeds of the “mighty oak” so these may originally have been a wedding gift.
