Find Out MoreThis is a spectacular large ring that was made around the 1950s. It has been rub over set with a large topaz that has an approximate weight of 8.52 carats. Topaz is very sought after and a comparatively rare stone. It is quite different to a citrine. The name imperial topaz is said to have originated in 19th century Russia, where the Ural Mountain mines were an important source of topaz reportedly reserved for the royal family. The warm orange of the stone goes beautifully with the soft colour of the white gold. It is surrounded by sixteen well matched good white diamonds in scalloped settings with millegrain detailing. The gallery has pretty scroll detail. It looks really impressive when worn as an incredible dress ring
