Many watch keys were made in the early 1800s as it was fashionable to wear a highly ornate watch with a key to wind it. Nowadays these wonderful keys are collectable in their own right and this example is a particularly lovely watch key. It can be worn on a mid length chain either on its own or with other pieces.
