Georgian Gold & Agate Drop Earrings

520U
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

Most likely the origin of these earrings was Scotland as we have seen similar agate collars, crosses and earrings over the years. They were made circa 1820 and have been pinch collet set with pale brown banded agate pear shaped drops with oval shaped agates above. The agate is paper thin so that it makes the most of the natural pattern. They have later post fittings with plastic scrolls. A perfect fit if you have a Georgian collar to match!
