An unusual pair of 9ct gold drop earrings that were made circa 1780-1820. They were made in Portugal or Spain, the styles were similar in both countries. They have been set with flat cut almandine garnets and natural pearls. The screw fittings are later additions but can be easily converted to wires if wished.
