Georgian Double Heart Ring set with Garnets & Rose Diamonds

841U
320 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 15ct gold and silver ring that was made circa 1820. It is composed of two hearts which have been pinched collet set with faceted flat cut garnets. Above is a little crown pinched collet set with rose diamonds with further rose diamond detail below and on the shoulders.  The shank is a reeded design. The heart shape has been popular since the 17th Century to the present day. The combination of two hearts entwined means “Forever in my heart”. The use of the diamonds emphasises “Eternal love”, and the garnets are for “True love”.  It would make a wonderful engagement ring
