It amazes me how this work was done as the central flower is raised and beautifully worked with tiny graded pearls. Below it the stem is held by a tiny pearl set bow. The background is blue glass. with fine gold coiled wire weaving around the pearl design. It was made circa 1780 in France and still has its original red Morrocco leather hinged case. It is myopic!
