Georgian 18ct Gold, Emerald, Amethyst & Natural Split Pearl Ring with Locket Back

469W
240 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1830. It has been claw set with four amethysts, four natural split pearls and three emeralds. The shoulders are a lovely engraved scroll deign and the scroll motif continues around the shank and the sides. On the reverse is a glazed locket that contains woven hair. This can be removed if wanted.

These pretty cluster rings were very popular in the early 1800s and would have been given as love tokens.
