Georgian 15ct Gold & Silver, Ruby & Diamond Entwined Hearts Ring

767W
120 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual Georgian ring that was made circa 1820. It would have been a betrothal ring as it has been pinched collect set in silver with a pear shaped ruby and a pear shaped diamond in the centre. Around each stone are claw set rubies and old mine cut diamonds in a ribbon design that further accentuates the tying together of a couple. The 15ct gold shank is a simple narrow rounded design that was typical for the period.

It sits low on the finger and would make a perfect engagement ring.

Ollys Pick

A very special Georgian ring.
