The Royal blue enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. work is typical of that period with fine inlaid gold leaves and red, green and white enamel detailing. Around it are pinched collet set pastes. The top is silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
and the trifurcated shankThe circle of metal that attaches to the decorative part of a ring and encircles the finger. is 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold.
