French Belle Epoque Platinum Diamond Cluster Ring with ornate Diamond Set Shoulders

146W
80 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

Cluster rings are so popular and this example is pretty special as it has been so well made. It is platinum and was imported in to France around 1910-1920. In the centre is a pie crust claw set large transition cut diamond that has an approximate weight of one and a quarter carats. Around it on a lower level is a circle of claw set diamonds. The shoulders are particularly special as they have been set with graduated diamonds on three sides. The gallery is pierced with an ovoid motif and there is millgrain detail throughout. It is a gorgeous ring that is a timeless look and can be worn as an engagement or a dress ring.
