Written by Olly Gerrish

Butterfly brooches are always popular. They have a lovely meaning that involves change and moving on in one’s life so a lot were made, some better quality than others. This is a good example and it is in great condition. It was made in 1918, perhaps to celebrate the end of the first world war and moving onwards to happier times.
