Edwardian Platinum, Two Stone Diamond Crossover Ring

404Y
Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty platinum ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with two well matched transition cut diamonds in a cross over design. The diamonds are particularly bright white stones. and have an approximate weight of one carat each. There are further claw set small diamonds set in to the shoulders. At that time the influence of the Art Nouveau style was manifesting itself in furniture and textiles. Jewellery also adopted the sinuous style that was typical of the period.

This ring would make a lovely engagement ring.
