Edwardian Greyhound Brooch set with Graduated Diamonds

838T
240 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A graceful model of a greyhound that was made circa 1900-1910. The greyhound was often used as an emblem symbolising the Knightly virtues of Faith in coats of Arms, and occupations such as Hunting.
This brooch has been very well executed. The body has been set with old mine cut diamonds and rose diamonds and there is a small cabochon ruby in his eye. The brooch fitting has a secure roll over catch.
