Written by Olly Gerrish

A striking large crescent brooch set with demantoid garnets and graded natural split pearls. The meaning of the crescent is a new start to a relationship, like the crescent moon is the start of a cycle to a full moon. The green garnets are called “demantoid garnets” and are recognised as one of the most beautiful and expensive gems in existence. It was made circa 1900-1910.
