Edwardian Conch Pearl & Diamond Tie Pin

80P
542 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

With the probability of finding a conch pearl about one in ten thousand, and with less than a one in ten chance that the pearl will be gem quality, conch pearls are considered very rare indeed. Conch pearls are produced naturally by the queen conch mollusk, found in the Caribbean. Most are elongated or baroque in shape. Near round specimens are extremely rare. This tie pin has been set with a lovely example of a conch pearl and has a small band of rose diamonds at it’s base that gives the pin a little sparkle. It was made circa 1900-1910. All our tie pins come with a stopper at the end of the pin.
