Edwardian 9ct Gold Snake Ring set with a Rose Diamond & Ruby Eyes

181Y
Written by Olly Gerrish

I love this snake ring as he has a happy face. It is 9ct gold and was assayed in Chester in 1905. His head has been set with a rose diamond and he has small ruby eyes. Snake rings were very popular in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods as they represented “Eternal love and wisdom”.

This example is so pretty and wearable.
