Find Out MoreThis is a classic 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold bracelet that was made in Birmingham in 1907 by Deakin & Frances. Founded in 1786, the company was originally known as Deakin and Moore from 1848–1879. Charles Deakin retired in 1881 and John Francis joined the firm. The company then became known as Deakin & Francis, becoming a limited company in 1902. It is a lovely unusual design and has been set with five opals within diamondA precious, lustrous gemstone made of highly compressed carbon. Diamonds are one of the hardest materials known to mankind. Colours of diamonds range from colourless, yellow, orange and brown to almost black. Natural coloured (or ‘fancy’) diamonds can be extremely rare. The cut, colour, clarity and carat weight of a diamond are the criteria jewellers use... shaped frames with triple links in between. Deakin & Frances are famous for high quality jewellery and this bracelet is no exception. It has a padlock clasp and an added safety chainA small chain applied to a piece of jewellery with the purpose of adding additional security to prevent loss. On bracelets and necklaces a safety chain will often join the clasp ends should the clasp fail. On a brooch it is often attached to a small pin which is to be used in tandem with the main brooch pin. for extra security.
