Edwardian 9ct Gold Locket with Swallow & Rose Detail

506X
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A 9ct gold oval locket that was made assayed in Birmingham in 1910. On both sides it has been engraved with a pair of swallows. The swallow was considered daring, risk seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. It also meant “Everlasting love” and “loyalty” as swallows mate for life. Each one is near to a branch of roses, and roses mean Love!

A wonderful locket to give to someone that you love too!
