Edwardian 18ct & Platinum Parti Sapphire Oval Cluster Ring

853P
704 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold ring with a platinum top that was made circa 1910. It has been set with A Parti sapphire. Parti sapphires (also known as polychrome sapphires) are a rare type of corundum gemstone that cannot be be replicated in the lab. They include two or three colours in the stone in blues, greens and yellows that perfectly complement one another, emulating similar iridescent colours to peacock feathers. This stone is a wonderful unusual colour displaying flashes of greens, blue and yellow. It is surrounded by eleven round brilliant cut diamonds. it would make a really great engagement ring

Ollys Pick

This ring is a real talking point as the stone is pretty rare
