Edwardian 18ct Gold Three Stone Diamond Gypsy Ring

539X
120 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A lovely large heavy gauge 18ct gold ring that was assayed in Chester in 1904. It has been set with three well matched bright white old mine cut diamonds within star shaped settings that have an approximate weight of jus under a carat. This style of ring is known as a gypsy ring due to the lucky star shaped settings. They were very popular in the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods and were sometimes set with different coloured gemstones.

This ring is as wearable today as it was back then.
