Edwardian 18ct Gold Three Stone Diamond Gypsy Ring

A lovely 18ct gold ring that was made in Chester in 1902.  It has been set with three old mine cut diamonds within star shaped settings. The shoulders have incised scroll decoration.  This style of ring is known as a gypsy ring due to the star shaped settings. They were very popular in the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods and were often set with different coloured gemstones.  However this style is as wearable today as it was back then
