Edwardian 18ct Gold Signet Ring with Intaglio of a Galleon

227T
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold signet ring that was made in London in 1911.  The decorative shank sweeps up to meet an oval shaped top that has been carved with an intaglio of a galleon.  The galleon was used by the clan MacDonald, Lord of The Isles and it also appears in The Chiefs Coats of Arms.  A perfect gift to someone who loves the high seas!
