Edwardian 18ct Gold, Sapphire & Diamond Chequerboard Ring

232L

Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 18ct gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1907. It is set in a chequerboard pattern with good blue sapphires and bright white diamonds. The shoulders and sides of the ring have scroll decoration. This is called a carved half hoop. It almost looks like two adjacent rings when worn too. This style of ring looks lovely on the finger and would make a good engagement ring.
