Edwardian 18ct Gold Rectangular Ring set with a Diamond Shaped Emerald & Old Mine Cut Diamonds

444W
40 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very unusual 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. In the centre is a diamond shaped emerald surrounded by old mine cut diamonds within a rectangular design. The shoulders have also been set with an old mine cut diamond on either side. It sits low on the finger and curves around nicely. I would like to think that this ring would have been given as a token of affection because of the diamond shaped emerald that may have meant “You are my diamond”.
