Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Zircon & Diamond Cluster Ring

465W
120 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A gorgeous 18ct gold ring with a platinum top that was made circa 1915-1920. it has been set with a beautiful zircon surrounded by twelve well matched good white diamonds. Zircons were used a lot during the early 20th century and are one of the oldest stones that have been used in jewellery for over 2000 years. They occur in an array of colours from yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues. The zircon in this ring is an electric colour blue that contrasts well with the ring of diamonds around it. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear as an engagement ring.
