Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Sapphire & Diamond Three Stone Carved Half Hoop Ring

162Y
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A smart 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with three well matched Royal blue cushion cut  sapphires. On either side of the central sapphire are two claw set old mine cut diamonds. The shank has lovely scroll work decoration on the sides. This is known as a “carved half hoop” design and was quite common practice in the Edwardian and Victorian periods.

It would make an ideal engagement ring.
