Edwardian 18ct Gold, Opal & Diamond Navette Shaped Ring

410P

Written by Olly Gerrish

An attractive 18ct gold navette shaped ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been set with a two carat cabochon opal. It is surrounded by graded old mine cut diamonds. The combination is so pretty as the opal displays flashes of mainly green and blue with some red. At this time in the early 1900s opals were in high fashion and were being imported from Australia. The main opal fields were in Lighting Ridge. It looks wonderful when worn and would make a great dress ring.
