Edwardian 18ct Gold, Opal & Diamond Marquise Ring

407S

Written by Olly Gerrish

A pretty 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. Its oval shape meets in pointed ends, resembling the hull of a ship, this cut is also known as the Navette cut (meaning “little boat” in French). In addition to being unique, this style is also great for someone looking to create the illusion of elongated hands. It has been set with a lively opal surrounded by small old mine cut diamonds. The shoulders are very unusual with anthemion and scroll design. A lovely well balanced ring that looks great on the finger.
