Edwardian 18ct Gold, Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

296U

Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a striking 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been claw set with a very lively opal that displays myriad colours, mainly blue and green with red flashes. Around the opal are twelve well matched claw set old mine cut diamonds. There is a further old mine cut diamond set in to each of the shoulders. It is an impressive and pretty looking ring when worn. Interestingly, the ring features French import marks, suggesting that it is well travelled!
