Edwardian 18ct Gold, Five Stone Diamond Ring

606L
Written by Olly Gerrish

A lovely gold ring that was made circa 1890-1910. It is set with five old mine cut diamonds. The nice thing about this ring is that the diamonds are set down in a boat shaped setting which is quite a secure design. The top is 18ct gold and the shank is 9ct gold with an 18ct gild on top. This is because the ring has had a new half shank at some point, most likely because the original shank had worn too thin. It would make a pretty engagement ring.
